Introducing private mode on Find Others

All campaign pages now have access to our Private Mode feature! This will enable you to keep your campaign page hidden from the public on the Find Others site.

If you’re new to Find Others and wondering what a campaign page is, you can check out our article How to get the most out of your Campaign Page to find out.

A quick guide to using the campaign tools on Find Others

You can enable Private Mode on your campaign page at any point to enjoy some key benefits:

  • Keep your campaign page away from prying eyes.

  • Hide your campaign page from search engines.

  • Galvanise support before going live to the public.

If you would like to keep your campaign hidden until you are ready for the public and the accountable parties to see it, private mode is the perfect feature to use.

Head to campaign tools on your page and select ‘Public / private mode’ to make access to your campaign exclusive to you and your supporters.

Once private mode is enabled, you can select ‘Public / private mode’ again to be taken to a page where you can enter email addresses to send invites to supporters. You will be able to see who has accepted or declined your invite. For those still pending, there is an option for you to resend the invite.

You can manage your supporters as usual, posting updates to those who have supported and messaging those who are affected or said that they can help.

A few things to note:

  • If your campaign page has been public before you make it private, you may still show up on external search engines such as Google or Bing, but people won’t be able to view your page.

  • You will have to invite supporters through the Find Others system using their email address; if you do not have this information, you will not be able to invite them.

  • If you already have supporters on a public campaign, switching to private will wipe these supporters from your page and you will need to invite them to support again.
